Code of Conduct

Affirmation of Shared Behaviors and Performance Management Process

The culture of OS Intelligent is defined by its value system, where the behavior of all employees reflects OSINTelligent’s five core values of Teamwork, Quality/Excellence, Customer Focus, Learning, Innovation, and Stewardship.

We understand, as associates, that we are expected to uphold our core values by following these shared behaviors on a daily basis:

•    Be flexible to meet changes in our work environment or work schedules.
•    Work cooperatively with my co-workers and other teams to find solutions to problems in a blame-free environment.
•    Take responsibility for being informed about OS Intelligent and my department by regularly attending department meetings, Town Halls, and open forums, and reading entity/system communication tools including emails, newsletters, and policies and procedures.
•    Always listen first, and then communicate honestly in a calm clear voice while using eye contact and body language that displays respect.
•    Recognize the power of an apology.
•    Look beyond my assigned tasks, assist my coworkers when possible or find resources when necessary.
•    Take pride in my overall appearance as well as the appearance of my department/entity.
•    Maintain zero tolerance for abusive behavior (verbal or physical).
Quality/Excellence

•    Take responsibility for making sure my actions, behaviors, and decisions reflect positively on OSINTelligent®.
•    Uphold the confidentiality of all administrative, employee, security, and financial data.
•    Follow the Code of Conduct - Business Ethics and Compliance Program.
•    Complete all mandatory training and health screening requirements on time, and maintain appropriate credentials and licensure.
•    Take responsibility for ensuring the safety of our patients, families, and employees 100% of the time.
•    Know my role in emergencies as stated in my entity’s Emergency Operations Plan, and be prepared to take the correct action.
•    Follow all OSINTELLIGENT®® policies and procedures, including specifically the “Sexual and Other Prohibited Harassment” and the Tobacco Free and Social Media policies.
Customer Focus

•    Treat our patients, their families, and my coworkers with courtesy and respect.
•    Take all measures to protect the privacy, confidentiality, and dignity of our patients.
•    Provide exceptional customer service by following the Service in Action steps.
•    Provide exceptional service recovery by following LAST – Listening, Apologizing, Solving and Thanking.
•    Help anyone who is lost by walking them to their destination or introducing them to someone who can.
•    Practice elevator etiquette by breaking the silence with a greeting, an offer of assistance, and allowing guests to enter and exit before me, when possible.
•    Practice telephone etiquette by answering the phone within three rings, identifying myself and my department, and providing the caller with the correct number before transferring a call.
•    Practice technology etiquette by silencing wireless communication devices (or putting them on vibrate mode) and consider alternative means of communication if there have been three or more emails exchanged in an attempt to reach an agreement.
•    Appreciate, celebrate, and value diversity throughout the workplace with patients, families, and coworkers by making a genuine effort to understand their needs and values.
Learning and Innovation:

•    Embrace change and be open to new ideas.
•    Identify opportunities for my own individual growth and improved work practices in my department/entity.
•    Recognize my coworker’s accomplishments and provide meaningful feedback.
•    Mentor new employees by welcoming them to our team.
•    Adopt new technology that will improve my work performance.

Stewardship:

•    Use the resources available to me in a responsible, cost-effective manner.
•    Suggest cost savings ideas.
•    Perform my OSINTELLIGENT®® responsibilities using my time wisely, and commit to regular and punctual attendance.
•    Take responsibility for my physical, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being.
•    Demonstrate my concern for the environment by reducing, reusing, or recycling resources whenever possible.
